Project Me: A Holistic Wellbeing & Development Course for Parent Carers

Thrive, Don’t Just Survive. Reclaim Your Identity, Resilience, and Future.

Are you caring for a child with additional needs? Do you feel like you’ve lost “you” in the process?

You are the expert on your child. You fight for their needs, manage their appointments, and celebrate their milestones. But amidst the schedules and the sleepless nights, one question often goes unanswered: Who is looking after you?

Project Me is not just a course; it is a sanctuary and a strategy room for parent carers. Designed by OAKonsult, this faith-rooted, inclusive program wraps you in a circle of care, equipping you with practical tools to manage your finances, reignite your career, and restore your emotional wellbeing.

Whether you are navigating a new diagnosis or caring for an adult child, you belong here. It’s time to put yourself back on the priority list.

What You Will Gain

This 6-module intensive program moves beyond generic advice to offer lived-experience strategies that actually work.

  • Emotional Resilience: Learn to recognise your “stress signals” and build a personalised well-being plan using the Social Model of Disability.
  • Financial Clarity: Demystify wills, trusts, and benefits to secure your family’s future without fear. Learn why a “money snapshot” is the first step to freedom.
  • Relationship Reset: Navigate changing dynamics with friends and family, and learn to build a supportive “Team Around the Child.”
  • Career Confidence: Discover how your caring skills (advocacy, management) translate to the workplace and explore flexible paths to employment or volunteering.
  • Community Connection: Join a tribe of parents who “get it”—no explanations needed.
